Scrap Shotz October Kit Projects with Katelyn

Hey Scrap Shotz Fans!

Today, I get to share with you a few of my projects featuring some of the products from the October Kit. This month's kit features the fabulous Simple Stories line "Beautiful" which is filled with beautiful pastel colours and accented with black and white.

The design team is using this sketch from Page Maps this month.

This is my take on this month's sketch.

I kept the layout the same as the sketch, but added some extra details on the bottom portion by where my journaling will end up going. Journaling is always the last thing I end up doing and I usually have to have my layout sit out for a while until I decide what I want to write on it. To highlight the hearts on the left hand side of the journaling box, I added a few gold and pink sequins.

On the top portion of my layout, I layered in some of the stickers from the Carpe Diem - Sticker Tablet "Beautiful" as well as some fussy cut images from the patterned paper. I also continued the gold and pink sequins up to tie into the bottom portion of my layout.

For my second project, I created a fun note card using some of my leftover scraps from creating my layout.

Because the "Hello" card takes up a large portion of the notecard, I wanted to keep the embellishments simple on my card. In the bottom left hand corner, I added a few gold sequins as well as a pink sequin. For the bottom right hand corner, I added a few of the sticker hearts from the Beautiful Sticker Sheets.

To embellish the flower on the top right portion of the typewriter, I added a few pink sequins.

All the products that I've used on my projects are available in the Scrap Shotz's store. Make sure to stop by the blog later this week, as Cathy is sharing more inspiration using the October Kit.

Thanks for joining me today!
