March 2018 Kit Club - I Am Strong Layout

*Please click HERE if you are looking for details on our DT call!

Hello! It's Karla back again to show you a double page layout using the Scrap Shotz March 2018 Kit Club products, featuring the Simple Stories I Am Collection. Today, I'm using the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine March Sketchy Challenge to create a timeline effect with several photos from special times in my past. This is a perfect Kit and sketch to document this! Here's a look at the full double page layout -

The stickers and chipboard all coordinate so beautifully, and the AC Lemonade Thickers are bright and fun to match the collection.

Even though the photos are all from different times and have different looks to them they coordinate when layered with the beautiful papers from the I Am collection.

I layered the chipboard book sticker along with a tab, banner and word sticker from the 8 sheet color sticker set. There are so many options to choose from!

I love the Prima flowers included in the kit and the little journaling spots were great to write dates on to add to my photos.

The shiny Prima crystals and adhesive sequins from the Pink Paislee Haberdashery set add sparkle to the page along with some rose gold on the stickers.

Here's a look at that awesome sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine -

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Scrap Shotz Store to pick up this kit and any of the great add ons as well as check out all the amazing blog posts this month featuring this fantastic kit! Have a wonderful and creative week!!

March 2018 Kit Club Layout - I Am Loved

Hi friends! Karla back today to share the first layout I’ve created with the fantastic March Kit from the Scrap Shotz Store! If you’re not already a subscriber to this fantastic monthly kit club, you are definitely going to want to be. The kits have an amazing selection of wonderful scrappy goodies in them, for a fantastic price. If you haven’t seen the unboxing video I posted yesterday click HERE to see it all close up. Now onto my layout! I’m using the February sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Sketchy Challenge and the beautiful papers, stickers and ephemera in this month’s kit, which features the Simple Stories I Am collection. I really don't do enough pages about myself, my dreams, the silly things that happen to me... and this kit makes it so easy to do that!! The papers are so beautiful, and will work wonderfully with any theme, but I wanted to show you how you could get yourself in your scrapbooks! The cut apart pages provide lots of beautiful elements to layer on your layouts or add to pocket pages, and the sentiments provide great prompts. That rose gold scattered throughout the papers and ephemera is just gorgeous!

I layered embellishments from the Simple Stories 12x12 sticker sheet and Pink Paislee Haberdashery to give lots of texture and interest.

I added a title using a rose gold foiled sentiment from the diecut ephemera pack and a sticker. There are so many great ways to tell YOUR story using this kit!

I added some extra dimension with the chipboard stickers and by layering the stickers from the 12x12 sheet on a piece of white cardstock before adding foam dots. I love the pretty gold sequins in the Haberdashery pack!

The cardstock and papers in the kit are all I needed to add some pretty layers behind my photos!

Here’s a look at the process video where I show you how I put it together!

Be sure to head over to the Scrap Shotz Store to pick up this kit and any of the great add ons! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back on Monday with a double page layout using the CSM March Sketchy Challenge 😉 Have an awesome, crafty weekend!

March 2018 Kit - Simple Stories I Am

Hi there!

I am so excited to be sharing my project made with the March Kit featuring the Simple Stories I Am collection!

The Design Team was challenged this month to use the March Sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Sketchy Challenge.  Since I've never really scrapbooked about scrapbooking, I was inspired to do a timeline of some highlights of my time scrapping over the last 20 years.

I started with two pieces of White Bazzill Cardstock and smooshed the background using Distress Oxide in Fossilized Amber and Worn Lipstick.  The title is made from some of the included cardstock diecuts and the Lemonade Thickers, a kit extra. I cut the word "lucky" from the Lagoon cardstock using a Simple Stories cutfile from Silhouette.

The page was embellished with some of the Prima flowers & gems and the Simple Stories stickers and chipboard. To finish the page, I reached deep into my stash to include some of the products and techniques that I've used for scrapbooking over the years.  Can you spot them all?

Sorry for the photo quality.  For some reason, the page is very warped and I had a difficult time getting a straight photo.

I just love this layout.  I'm very glad to have recorded my story.  And the March kit really helped me to do it. Be sure to stop by the store to check it out!

Thanks for looking!
