Scrap Shotz September Kit - Prima Santorini Collection Vacation Layout

Hi again friends! It's Karla back with the fabulous Scrap Shotz September Scrapbook Kit featuring the Prima Santorini collection. I am really loving all the gorgeous papers, ephemera, cards, stickers, flowers and more that are included in this kit, as well as the awesome add-ons available, and it has been perfect for documenting our family's summer vacation in Invermere! Be sure to check the last two posts to see a reveal video HERE and two layouts with a process video HERE. Today, I'm sharing a third layout using this month's sketch by our talented Design Team Member, Laura. Read on to find out how you can enter this month's challenge by creating a layout based on this sketch for a chance to win!!

I started off by using the pretty pink cardstock from the kit as my background layer and then started layering on the gorgeous 12x12 papers from the September Kit. I really love the watercolour look paper with the pretty blue foil on it! Since this was a layout about my girls playing in the waterpark I used the cute girl in her striped bathing suit and hat from the cut apart 12x12 sheet. I followed the sketch adding strips of patterned papers and stickers under my main photo and bathing suit girl card.

This beautiful blue fabric flower is just one of the add-on's available in the shop to coordinate with this month's kit. I love the beads in the center of it - so pretty! I layered on some elements from the Ephemera Diecut package (paper and acetate) and some chipboard stickers, both included in the kit.

On the bottom left corner of my photo I added another cluster of embellishments, including the cute ticket, a flip flop chipboard sticker, that adorable flamingo and a little you & me sticker, all from the kit. The shiny pink flower is another amazing add-on!

Here's a look at this month's sketch. Use it as a starting point to layer your beautiful papers and get another layout in your album ... and get a chance to win a gift card by sharing it with us using #sszchallenge on Instagram or sharing on our Facebook page. Scrap Shotz September Kit - Prima Santorini Layouts and Video!

Hi friends! Karla back today with two layouts using the beautiful Scrap Shotz September Scrapbook Kit featuring the Prima Santorini collection. This is an amazing collection of crafty goodies that is perfect for scrapping your summer memories, those beautiful vacation photos, and so much more! Be sure to check out the full Reveal Post with video HERE if you haven't yet seen everything in the full collection 💙 I'm using this sweet kit to scrapbook one of our family's vacations and have loved including all the fantastic elements on my pages. Be sure to scroll down where you'll find the link to the process video created to show you how to make this page, and an extra bonus layout with closeups!

I'm using the September Sketchy Challenge from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine  to create the first layout. I combined the beautiful Pink Fresh Studio puffy letter stickers from the kit and the Vacation chipboard sticker along with the 'documented' sticker to create a title layered over my photo.

The 12x12 patterned paper with the strips was perfect to layer across the page along with the add-on washi tape, the camera from the ephemera pack, a chipboard sticker heart and one of the gorgeous flowers from the kit.

I cut one of the branding strips that had a sentiment and layered it to create the sentiment without having it spread across the page completely. I really love all the cool chipboard stickers in this kit! How cute are these little van and butterfly stickers?!!

The sweet tickets are great to add a little journaling to or just to tuck under your photos and ephemera.

Here's a look at the Process Video where you can see exactly how I created this page.

I just love this collection, and I couldn't stop at just one layout!! Here's a look at the second page I created using inspiration from one of Nicole Nowosad's layouts at BPC. I had smaller photos of our drive through the mountains that I wanted to include on the layout and by layering them and staggering the layers you don't notice as much that they are not all the same size.

There are so many amazing journaling cards and cut apart 3x4 cards in this kit! I cut the 'journey' sentiment from one of the cut apart 12x12 papers with a stitched circle die and layered more of those amazing Pink Fresh Studio letter stickers to create a title for this page.

The cards were also perfect to layer my photos on, edged with some awesome Distress Oxide Inks.

I love the acrylic ephemera pieces in the diecut package! I tucked one under the chipboard sticker here and even tucked a little 'my travels' sticker from the sticker sheet. This kit has so many elements perfect for layering.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the Scrap Shotz Store to get your gorgeous September kit and all the amazing add-ons available!! Wishing you a very happy, very crafty week ahead 😘

Scrap Shotz September Kit Projects with Sylvie

Hi there!

I'm so excited to be sharing my first projects as part of the Scrap Shotz Design Team! I'm extremely honoured to be a part of this talented group. I love creating from a kit and I hope I'll be able to give you ideas on how to get the most our of yours.

The fact that the kit this month was the Carta Bella Transatlantic Travel line made me so happy.  I am in the middle of scrapbooking a recent trip to Cuba, and the minute I saw the collection, I knew it would work with photos we took on a sightseeing tour.

I loved the compass theme in this line, so I cut one using a Silhouette file.  I sprayed it with mist while it was still on the cutting mat. Once it was dry, I removed it from the mat and backed with some of the patterned paper.  For added dimension, I machine stitched the points on the compass. I used some old foam Thickers from my stash to create the title. I was inspired to use the quote from one of the 3x4 cards in the collection which worked so well with my compass. After that, there wasn't much embellishing that needed to be done.

I used an old arrow stamp to give a place for the Carta Bella stickers to rest.  I used some Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops in Midnight Blue (a kit extra) to make my own enamel dots.  I LOVE those!

Speaking of the Nuvo drops, the Crystal Glace is a very cool product and I used it to make embellishments for this next page.

I started by punching a 1 inch circle and then taping it to my work surface with regular scrapping adhesive.  This keeps the circle from curling.  Then I applied thin layers of the Glace over the entire surface of the circle.  It starts out cloudy, but dries clear.  After 3 coats, I created my own flair badge! This is when it is still cloudy. ;)

While those were drying, I took a piece of vellum from my stash and using the Echo Park embossing folder (a kit extra), created a piece of embossed vellum.  The pattern of the embossing folder created two columns of words, so I decided to cut the vellum in half vertically and placed it above and below my photo to make it look like a long strip.  I cut another Silhouette cut file to create a leafy pattern from the "Vintage Letters" paper and layered strips of paper along side it.  The title is also a Silhouette file that was cut from the cardstock in the kit. I embellished the page with some of the tags and two of my "flair badges".

So, that's it for me today!  I'll be sharing more work tomorrow, but thanks for stopping by.  For information on all the products in the kits, be sure to stop by the store.

Scrap Shotz September Kit Featuring PinkFresh Indigo Hills! Part ll

Hello Everyone! Lorraine here with my reveal of the Scrapshotz September kit featuring the fabulous PinkFresh Indigo Hills. Rosie did such a great job with it! I am always amazed at how differently we use these kits.

Here is the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Sketchy Challenge sketch that we used:
And here is my take on it:
I fussy cut the geometric shapes from a sheet of patterned paper to create the layers behind the photo. The edges were inked with distress inks. I used pop dots behind the outside edges of each of the 3 elements to give them dimension. I also popped up the subtitle phrase - what a great addition to almost any page.

Here is another layout of my sweet granddaughter.  I love the "days of the week" washi tape that I used on both of these pages.
I used the washi on this layout as well, adding a day of the week to each of the monochrome elements on the side of the page. A bright photo really pops on this soft colored patterned paper. I used the alpha stickers that came with the kit, but I felt they didn't have enough contrast to the light background, so I added a black ink drop shadow with a pen to the letters. The chipboard hearts add just the right mood as embellishments.
This 2 page layout is bright and fun - appropriate for the playground photos. I had so many photos that were too-cute-not-to scrap that a 2 pager was totally necessary. This girl has personality to spare! the circles on the patterned paper strips give the layout motion and the 3 circle elements - 2 die cuts and a wooden paper clip - help keep it balanced.
This layout of my grandson's science project was simple to create. The borders of half sphere's on the patterned paper are bright and interesting design elements, drawing your eye to the center of the page. The die cut quotes are perfect accents. This kit's versatility really made it easy to use. The Pinkfresh - Indigo Hills line contains everything from soft feminine feeling paper to bolder, vibrant patterns that gives you so many options.
A really fun addition to the kit was this gold embossed vellum. Here I used it as a layer on top of a cardstock base.
This vellum was also used as a layer, but over a distress inked card base, so the varied colors could show through. A simple card given an interesting feature!
This card used a scrap of patterned paper from the 2 page layout and a die cut quote from the Indigo Hills line. The beautiful, sparkly jewels are self adhesive and add a lovely bit of glam.

I used scraps of patterned paper for this card, using the B side, a bit of ribbon and some sequins. I love to have all occasion or everyday cards in my stash to send to friends and family.

This card used some of the twine included in the kit, as well as scraps of the geometric patterned paper, and a wooden paper clip. This one would make a great masculine card. It's bold and "un-frilly," if that's a word!

Thanks for looking through my reveal. I love to play with these kits and see what I can build from the products included. Hope I've inspired you a bit!

Lorraine
