What's New in the Store?

From time to time, I like to draw your attention to what Sandy has in the store. This time I don't know where to start because I am in love with everything!

Moustaches are everywhere! With a 13yr old in the house, she and her friends love moustaches so this month's kit add-on has me drooling!

I love that you can get these in felt as well as rub-ons. Aren't these just darling?
As well I am intrigued and in love with the Art Anthology products. Their colours are gorgeous! Some of my favorites are

Dimensional Glaze Fairy - if you look carefully, you can see chunks of mica and glitter. As well I love that it maintains its shape too. This is perfect with a variety of projects.

Or the Sorbet Honolulu Blue? Isn't this colour just stunning? I love the rich hue and the swirls...drool!

Of course I cannot forget the Elizabeth Craft Designs die sets.  She has some terrific designs as well as the positive and negative of the die cuts.

For your Project Life-rs, check out these wonderful goodies!

Look at these delightful envelopes from Fancy Pants - the patterns are so darn cute! I am using them to save all the little brick a brack that comes from every day!

And these cute cute cute journaling cards from Elle's Studio - they are 3x4 perfect for Project Life..

I think you will agree that the store is filled with wonderful goodies - what has caught your eye?

The Beauty of Sketches

I love love love sketches. They are a fabulous jumping off point for me especially when I am itching to create but am struggling with where to start. Most of the times when I use a sketch, I make at least 2 versions of the sketch simply by rotating the sketch or making a mirror image of the sketch or both!

Below is an interpretation of sketch by Valerie Salmon Got Sketch?

This first interpretation was almost an exact replica of the sketch. What I loved about this sketch is how easy it came together. 30 minutes and I was done!

SOURCES  Bazzill (card stock); Close to my Heart (card stock); BoBunny (pattern paper, layered chipboard); WRMK (chomper); EK Success (border punch); American Crafts (journal pen, alphas); Queen & Co (pearls)

Then I decided to make another layout by rotating the sketch. These pictures have been sitting on my desk...forever so I decided it was time to use them up! And here is the result.

SOURCES  Supplies: Bazzill (card stock); Authentique (pattern papers, alphas, die cut stickers); BasicGrey (raw chipboard); Tattered Angels (glimmer mist); Ranger Perfectly Pearls (clear shimmer mist); WRMK (chomper); Queen & Co (pearls)

So tell me, do you like using sketches?
