Simple Stories Great Escape Flipbook - July 2020 Fishing Trip

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a mini book made with the Simple Stories Great Escape Flipbook kit available from Scrapshotz. As soon as I saw the great colors and images, I knew it would be perfect for this project.

The instructions were excellent, and I was very impressed with the way that the kit uses all the bits and pieces of the elements included, with very little left over.

Here is a video walk through of the album.

This Simple Stories Flipbook is very versatile and can be made to suit many occasions and events.

This mini was a big hit with my grandson, and will be a great keepsake for him. Thanks for stopping by! Stay safe and well.

More Simple Stories Bro & Co.

Good morning! Hope your August long weekend was full of sunshine and smiles! I have a layout and some cards to share today using the Simple Stories Bro & Co. line.

This one is pretty simple, using the ephemera from the kit. I popped up some of the pieces and matted the title for it to be seen on the polka dot paper. It is fun and very "teen" looking, with icons and words that are popular with the kids. I dropped a bit of the Dina Wakely Marine spray to give interest to the cardstock background.

Then I made some cards using scraps, ephemera, brads and foam stickers. This was my first attempt at the slimline format and I was worried about design balance and how to fill the big space. I need not have worried! The space was easily filled and it was nice to use large sentiments on the inside of the cards. The slimline cards used the Mama Elephant Slimline Basics and the Lawn Fawn Slimline dies. If there is a die that you are craving, just ask Sandy to source it for you. Her service is awesome! The sentiments are from a birthday sentiment Hero Arts set called "Many Birthday Messages" and a Mama Elephant "Happy Everthing" set. Here are my cards.

Thanks for having a look and I hope the rest of your week is awesome!
