Carta Bella, Home Again - Mini Album Flip Through

Hello, hello! Brande here very excited to show you a flip through of the mini-album I am making with the Scrap Shotz October Kit - which features loads of pretty products from the Carta Bella, Home Again collection and some Jen Hadfield wood veneer goodies too!

I have a whole bunch of black and white photos of my dad and his siblings when they were young and my grandparent's wedding and holidays that I have been waiting for the perfect collection to scrapbook. When the October kit showed up I found my collection. The Carta Bella collection, both in sentiment and colour palette, were instant ’heritage’ album inspiration! These photos are finally finding their mini-album home!

Here is a quick flip through of my album:

If you can believe it, I still have loads of products from the Kit left to play with. I will make this album one of those go-to "easy projects" on the edge of my scrappy desk. I like having an "easy project" on the go for when I don’t have much time or my creative juices are running low - with how amazing this collection is to create with and how easy it is to scrap black and white photos, this one fits the "easy project" criteria all the way.

Here are a few photos of my most favourite pages that are not in the page protectors - my lights when filming or photographing at night give an awful glare, these ones are glare-free for you. Check out the flip-through video above to see all the page protector and photo flip layouts too!

The album I used for this project is a Simple Stories, SN@P 6x8 album available from Scrap Shotz. You can find the albums in a variety of colours in the Albums / Refills / Magazines section.

Feels so amazing to get this project going - I cannot wait to show the family!

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Kaisercraft, Let it Snow - Ready for December

If you popped onto our social media channels last month you will have seen that I received the entire Kaisercraft, Let it Snow collection bundle to play with! Pinch me, what a collection!

Imagine teal, silver and white foundation colours embellished with loads of shiny bits and amazing wood veneers. Wait, don't imagine it, you can see all the goodies in my unboxing video  - caution major enabler alert, the collection is absolutely fantastic and we still have these goodies in the shop!

Seeing the colours and touches in this collection, I could not resist pairing it with some red cardstock, red/white twine from my stash and a Simple, Stories, SN@P 6x8 Album from the Scrap Shotz shop to create my entire December Daily 2019 foundation album. Yup the whole thing is ready for December!

A December Daily is a project you create by documenting December memories each day for the month of December. I created my first one a couple of years ago and loved how I found ways to bring the December spirit into our lives so I would have great things to scrapbook. Win, win - I got to experience a great memory and I had an excuse to scrapbook a little bit every day!

So excited to show you my Kaisercraft, Let it Snow December Daily album ....

Now I just have to wait  the 47 sleeps until December 1st so I can start making holiday memories and loading up this album with photos, journaling and ephemera! I will be sure to do another flip through video once it's complete in January.

Do you December Daily? We would love to hear about your project!

March 2019 Kit - Traveler's Notebook Flip Through

Hello, hello! So excited to share this video flip through with you on so many levels!

I have just completed a complete Traveler’s Notebook (we are talking 4 notebook inserts here) of my hike of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path in Wales in 2008.

My excitement? It feels so good to finally put the pictures, ephemera, and the words I journalled everyday while walking into a memory keeping solution. Makes me want to go back and walk it again! Seems time has washed away the loneliness that can come when walking alone, my Achilles injury, the blisters, the 102 fever from a spider bite infection, and walking in sideways pouring rain 16 of the 19 days. So glad I wrote all those feelings down at the time and had that to transcribe into this TN!

More excitement? I did it all with the Scrap Shotz, March 2019 Scrapbooking Kit. No joke. The ONLY things I added to this kit were adhesives, the TN Cover and TN notebook inserts, some string, journal pen and a date stamp.  I am so in love with the freedom of working from a kit!

Ok lets get to it - here is the flip through video:

Now I know its April and there is definitely some playing with my Scrap Shotz April 2019 kit going on in my B Hive (scrapbook room) but I was on such a roll with this decade overdue project that I just kept on, keeping on. So glad I did - even if I am sharing March in April.

Here are a couple of still shots from this TN:

I feel so excited to be done this project and feel like the March Scrapbook Kit was the prompt. One of my favourite things about being part of Scrap Shotz Kit Club is that you never know what will show up next month. It is not only a delightful surprise but also a prompt to maybe scrap that photo or project or event that hadn't quite got to the top of the scrapbook list. Like a trip from 2008!

Thanks for swinging by and happy crafting!
