Copic Thursday - Coloring Fur

Sssh! I know it's Friday *blush* Yesterday was crazy busy for me!

Our challenge this week is colour fur. What I love so much about Copic markers is their seeming ability to colour anything.

Here are links to 2 tutorials on how to colour fur. As with anything, there are many ways to do it, try them both and see what works best for you.

I used Crissy Armstrong's youtube video and technique - be prepared for the laughing section in the middle! When I watched it I had a big smile on my face!

I used E55, E57, E59. The trick is to use a soft, thin brush stroke and to blend it out twice. I think I over blended on the kitty but improved on the racoon. :)

Here are my furry animals...not quite as good but I think cute nonetheless!  I think it's a racoon and a hedgehog...I am really bad with animals

And here is another technique from Marianne Walker.

And here are Lorraine's beautiful beautiful samples! Doesn't this make you drool???

I wanted this guy to look like he had long hair. It looks kind of messy, but it's hard to color with a facecloth! LOL! The final result isn't too bad. Colors used: E55, E57,E49, N3, N7, R27, R29, 0

This one I wanted to look spikey and furry. I used the dot method on the spikes and the towel on the body. Colors used: E00, E31, E33, E35, E37, Y35, RV14, YG67, C1, C3, 0
So let's get colouring! Don't forget to link me up, ok?
