Be Confident

Hello again and welcome back!

I'm here to share another project created with items available in the
Amelia Rose Deluxe Kit from Scrap Shotz. My project is a mixed media reverse canvas.

I started with a deep canvas that I bought at the $ store. I applied some molding paste
to the edges cover the staples and to add some texture.

After this layer was dry I then applied another layer of molding paste through
the Slate stencil from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous.
I used the Iridescent Charcoal Kaiser Mist to spray the edges and sides of my canvas - this
created a beautiful faux stone look.

The background is made with a couple of sheets of pattern paper from the  Amelia Rose kit - then splattered with a couple of sprays.

Next I took 3 of the journal cards and fussy cut the rose  portion out of 2 of the cards.

I layered the pieces together with 3D foam adhesive then adhered to the
Parisian Arch Shutter from Prima.

To create the greenery I applied Iced Spruce Distress Oxide to a piece of watercolour paper and then die cut the floral arch from the Eileen Hull Die set - #662357.

It was time to assemble my focal point to my canvas.

The coordinating flowers from the Amelia Rose are gorgeous with just a touch of shimmer.

Here is my completed and fully assembled reverse canvas.

Thanks for stopping by today! Watch for a lot more inspiration to come from the Scrap Shotz Design Team next month when we reveal a brand new kit.

Product Showcase #2 - Paige Evans Pick Me Up Collection

Hi friends! Karla back today with another look at the Paige Evans Pick Me Up collection that will soon be available in the Scrap Shotz store!! If you didn't see my first product showcase of this amazing collection, be sure to check out this post HERE for a look at two layouts and two videos! Today, I'm back to showcase a gift set of 5 cards I created using the Swatch Book pack, the 12x12 paper pack and the Haberdashery stickers and sequins. The Swatch Books are just perfect to diecut little tags from, use your punches with or add any of those lovely border dies from your stash on! Here's a look at the full set of cards - I thought these would be great to tie with a ribbon and tuck into a gift bag for a teacher or friend gift!

The fun designs on the papers are great for fussy cutting, and I layered diecut papers and pieces from the Swatch Books to create this fun Cheers card. A pretty gold sequin from the Haberdashery set adds a little bling to match the gold on the watermelon seeds.

I used my Glossy Accents and a thin tip applicator to add a clear element over the Swatch Book Phrase, creating an enamel sticker look. The cute star button adds a little more dimension.

For the Hello card I cut the beautiful floral paper for a background, diecutting the edge with a stitched Waffleflower die. I used other various stitched border dies from my stash to add to the handmade stitched feeling on the card.

The Swatch Book phrases are printed on a heavystock paper and are wonderful to pop up with foam dots. The pretty butterflies are fussy cut from a background paper - I just love them!

For the Miss You More card I used some of the cute emoji paper and cut a tag from the Swatch Book pattern booklet, layering on an enamel sticker.

I used a glitter brush pen to add a shimmery glimmer to different areas on each card. 'Cause everyone needs more bling 😉

The Way To Go card has a pretty circle foil paper, diecut with a shape die, layered underneath. I actually cut the shape in half and you'll see the other half below!

The fun emoji paper has lots of sentiments and images in little bubbles. I cut around the bubble shape for these, but you could also use a circle punch to create your own embellishments.

For the last Thank You card I again used the gorgeous floral paper in the background and a few more of those beautiful fussy cut butterflies.

The sweet little sequin butterfly was just perfect to layer right on my sentiment, which I cut with a square stitched die.

I love all the sentiments in those Swatch Books - and I'm sure the special person who gets this set will love having an assortment of cards perfect for any occasion! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Scrap Shotz Store to pick up the amazing Pick Me Up collection. There are so many possibilities to create beautiful things 💗 Wishing you a fabulous and crafty week!

All Good Things in Scrap Shotz February 2018 Monthly Kit

The February 2018 Scrap Shotz kit features the fabulous AND Canadian Vicki Boutin's paper line, All Good Things. The paper patterns are fresh, innovative and versatile. These papers inspired me to create, create, create!

Check out the diverse layouts I created with this paper line.

This photo was taken just days after we moved into our new home. We had a chance to put our hand prints into the wet concrete and make our new house a home. This background is created by fussy cut patterns overlaid onto one of the pattern papers. I added black Nuvo drops to the flower centres and between the flowers.

My second layout was created with pieces from several pieces of the paper line - I just could not decide which papers to use and decided to use them all. The butterflies were fussy cut from another pattern paper and added for dimension.

I love the versatility of this paper line and how it inspires me to create! I hope I have inspired you to create too!

Graphic 45 Sun Kissed Collection

Hi there!

The Graphic 45 Sun Kissed collection is so beautiful!!  The minute I saw the papers, I knew exactly which photos I would scrap.  This is not a two page layout, but companion pages.

I started with by fussy cutting the flower arrangement from the Sun Kissed paper.  Using some Nuvo Crystal Glaze, I added clear dimension to the "Sun Kissed" and some of the flowers. The photos were mounted on some of the coordinating 4x6 journaling cards.
To give the cardstock some texture, I splattered the background with some Faded Jeans Distress Oxide  mixed with some water.  Then I inked the edges of the page with some Versamark and then sprinkled the edges with the new Baked Texture embossing powder from Emerald Creek in Deep Sea.
This embossing powder leaves a lovely distressed embossing.  I can see lots of uses for this product in the future!
I finished the layout with some wood veneer shapes from Kaisercraft and some Nuvo Drops in Midnight Blue.

My next page is pretty simple.  Just lots of layering, more fussy cutting and wood veneer shapes.  Once again, I used the journaling cards as photo mats.  The journaling is tucked into one of the photos on a tag that I cut from a journaling card.

The title is from some older Simple Stories alphas and the "Botanical Beach" was cut using my Silhouette and the Pacifico font.

I loved working with this collection and already have a few more ideas for scrapping the rest of my photos from this trip.

Be sure to check out the store for all the supplies!

Thanks for looking!

Love

Hey Scrap Shotz Fans!

I'm excited to share with you a project featuring Prima Marketing's Amelia Rose Paper Collection. You can buy this collection as a kit from the store and it comes full of patterned paper, stickers, ephemera, flowers, journaling notecards and washi tape. Note, this is not part of our regular kit program.

I've been trying to scrapbook some of the professional photos we had done on our Alaska cruise and I came across this one and knew the Amelia Rose collection would compliment the photo perfectly.

On the bottom right hand side of my layout, I started by fussy cutting the postcard out from one of the journaling notecards. Once the postcard was adhered to my layout, I added a ticket stub, a butterfly and a variety of pink, black and cream flowers.

After all the elements were adhered, I added in three of the rhinestone stickers in areas that needed a little sparkle.

In the bottom left hand corner of the photo, I've layered a variety of the pink, cream and black roses. In amongst the flowers I've added in a key, heart and butterfly all from the ephemera. Of course the bottom corner wasn't complete without adding some more rhinestones for some added sparkle.

To the right of the flowers, I layered in the love ticket and hearts also found in the ephemera package.

In the top right hand corner of the photo, I decided to go light with the flowers and just add a few. I also layered in another butterfly from the ephemera package and a couple of the rhinestones.

The top left corner was a bit bare, so I added in one of the tickets, making sure that the numbers were showing.

Down the left hand side of the photo, I layered in one of the journaling notecards and another ticket.

Here's the finished layout with all the elements.

#Happy

Hello!

Rosie here with another project featuring the Scrap Shotz February kit. I was inspired by this patterned paper in the kit:

I fussy cut all the butterflies, literally ALL of them! Here is the completed layout:

I started by spattering Heidi Swapp Colour Shine spray in Black Velvet on a piece of white card stock. Once the spray was dry, I traced a large circle with a dinner plate, then pierced stitching holes with a paper piercer. Prior to stitching, I adhered the outer circle of butterflies.

I hand stitched the circle shape with 2 strands of gold thread. Once the stitching was completed I added an inner ring of butterflies just above the stitched frame.

The small circles are cut with a circle punch and then adhered with foam tape just inside the hand-stitched frame.
I also hand-stitched a border with gold thread on a white card stock photo mat.

I layered the photo and embroidered photo mat over a piece of patterned paper. Fussy cut butterflies and a kit die cut embellish the upper left corner of the photo mat.

I also added some enamel dots from the kit embellishment pack.

I love how this project turned out and thank you for stopping by to take a look😊.
